The F/A-18 Korea is an extremely well detailed, and perfectly accurate flight simulator. The plane model carries all the characteristics of the real thing, and is capable of the same stuff too.

The game starts in the Ready Room, where pilots meet before takeoff. You can access all the program's functions from this area. These allow you to create your own missions from the very detailed and powerful Mission Editor, load previously created missions, play previosly recorded replays, read your last mission's debriefing, and finally, you can enter the cockpit.

The Mission Editor enables the user to create missions, with every tiny component acting as previously programmed. You can command ground and sea vehicles, and of course, a great variety of planes. The user can set the importance of each item, and select the target of the mission. Afterwards, you design your route and the routes of the other items, along with the procedures they have to perform on their way. You can also set victory and loss conditions, for the computer to know whether you've completed your mission, or not.

The training board contains chapters that cover the entire program. Under each chapter are topics, that give you the details of the subject. The topics teach you the facts about flying the F/A-18 using videos or animation combined with speech. Its a very fast and effective way of becoming familiar with the program.

The preflight area has the most options available in the game. You can create your identity, for which you can select from a variety of pictures too. This creates your pilot dossier, which shows the kills you've made during your career, and the awards you've received. This is the place where you can make the settings for the program. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking if you have a Voodoo graphics card, and a fast machine. Otherwise, poligon-shaped graphics are available, which are not as impressive, but run on slower machines too. Network play is also possible, along with Instant Action, if you can't wait to get airborne.
